Mr Clark is getting married and traveling around Europe, Mr Potts is watching the World Cup (hoping that England improve!) then going to his place in France to rest and relax!
SO what are your plans? Share what you are doing & where you are going!
What an addictive game! I used to think electrocity was amazing (it still is of course!) and think this is even BETTER – especially to try out bridge designs for this Unit of Inquiry…!
Cargo Bridge (from Armor Games) was recommended to me by Jack (thank you for sharing!) and I have to admit – I’ve been playing it ALL NIGHT!!!!
Here are some of my designs (that worked!) – what shapes and patterns do you see?
At the start of the year, we set a goal of 1500 visitors to our blog (500 hits more than last year’s G5 class). Now, with only 3 weeks to go… guess how many visits we have had (don’t cheat!)…?!
SOOOO – we have had posts from all around the world, from 6 of the 7 continents (which one is missing…?!)
We have had 33different countries visit our G5dragons site… Which one do you think is the coolest/most different?
We have had over 350 comments on 56different posts (before this one!). How many comments per post on average…?
What would you suggest to the Grade 4′s coming up to G5 next year? What should be done differently/better?
Comment below with your answers, thoughts and suggestions…
It is always difficult to decide what to read next…
I would suggest anything from Roald Dahl, Jacqueline Wilson, Philip Pullman, Dick King-Smith, Enid Blyton, Louis Sachar, Sharon Creech, Anne Fine, Michael Morpurgo, Cornelia Funke etcetcetc – all GREAT! Ask me if you want more specific suggestions…!
And if you need other student suggestions, go to the ‘Books’ tab of this blog to see what other G5 students are reading…
And here are some more resources that WILL help you!
ReadKiddoRead is an amazing place to find recommendations. Some really fun reads! SERIOUSLY!!!
‘WhatshouldIreadnext‘ is another excellent site (suggested by my teacher-friend from ISM, Adam Winton – thank you!) to find more cool books to read…
Glencoe is also good for suggestions of classics – study guides are also provided if you want related activities to fill your Summer…!
http://www.literature-map.com - this is a great place to find other authors similar to your favourites! Have a look below at what happened when I searched for Roald Dahl – the closer the authors, the more similar they are…:
